How do I apply for my insurance license after passing my state exam?

AFTER passing your state insurance exam, you'll need to submit a licensing application (aka FLASH App) to Sircon. (Note:  Sircon is a third party company that handles many of the functions related to licensing for the state of California, including the insurance licensing application process). 

Below we'll provide a few screenshots to help you get started with the licensing application on Sircon's website, but if you have questions or issues with submitting your licensing application, you'll need to contact Sircon at 1-877-876-4430 for assistance as the process belongs to them.  


STEP 1: Go to Sircon's website at www.sircon.com and click on the orange "Apply for a License" button.



Step 2: Complete all of the required fields we've circled in red.



Step 3:  For License Type select "Resident Insurance Producer." If you've never held an insurance license before select "No" for the Previously licensed? question.  On the other hand, if you're currently licensed or have been in the past, then select "Yes." 



Step 4: Under the Qualification Code section, select the license type(s) for which you're applying.  If you're not sure, find the name of the prelicensing course that you took with Upward Bound in the blue slide below to find the license type(s) that correspond with that particular prelicensing course. 



Step 5: Now you're in the "heart" of the licensing application. Complete the required fields and then proceed through the remainder of the application. Again, if you run into any problems you'll need to contact Sircon for assistance at 1-877-876-4430. (If you don't know what a National Producer Number or FINRA CRD Identifier is, you probably don't have one and can leave those fields blank.)  Good luck!
